What if oxygen is poisonous and it just takes 75-100 years to kill us?
My science teacher said he thinks that’s true actually
lol our cells will actually die within minutes without oxygen
Oxygen actually forms a radical within our bodies, which destroys macromolecules and cells. These radicals must be converted into a non-harmful form by enzymes in the body. These enzymes will not effectively convert all of the radicals, meaning that cell damage will occur, and that oxygen really does kill us.
